My advice to anyone thinking of re-shaping a late model trans is don’t 😀 !!! So far we have well over 30 meters of filler rod and hours of TIG time. And it’s relentless, as you weld one area so the heat drives out gas and impurities elsewhere in the cases.
But I think we got it, so now it’s flipped over and in the shot is the next piece of welding to do. This ally tube will run the clutch hose and rear brake hose, keeping everything clean. Once this is done I’m on the home straight with the trans! Just got to make the covers and machine the finished finish !
