The Harley Davidson Shovelhead engine is one of our all time favourites and has featured in a number of our custom bikes including Gas’d Rat, Bankrobber & Hipster Killer. It was manufactured from 1966 to 1984 by Harley-Davidson and produced 10% more horsepower than the Panhead engine which it replaced.
There are a number of companies now producing Shovelhead-style engines but these babies below are originals from the 1970’s.
